VANDALISM
SPEED HUMPS
A number of walls, road signs, streetlights, sidewalk
kerbs and electricity kiosk boxes were deliberately
vandalised by unknown persons.
This behaviour is unacceptable and the Estate
Manager intends to take strong action against
offenders. Security was instructed that Malicious
Damage to Property cases are to be opened at
the SAPS and that offenders must be arrested and
charged.
It is dangerous for children to play with the electronic
kiosk boxes. City Council was contacted and a list
of open kiosk boxes was given to them. Council
undertook to assist us in the locking of these boxes.
Kindly note that additional speed humps
will be installed in the new extension of
Thatchfield Hills.
City Council was also approached to assist
in the installation of additional speed
humps in Brakfontein Road between
Riverview and Thatchfield Glen. The
council did a survey with regard to traffic
calming measures and will assist as soon
as funds are approved.
We appeal to residents to report instances of
vandalism directly to the Estate Manager.
Let’s stand together and keep Thatchfield free of
vandalism.
SPEEDING & RECKLESS DRIVING IN THATCHFIELD
The speed limit in the estate is 30km/h.
All roads within the estate are the property of
The City of Tshwane and therefore all regulations
pertaining to the National Road Traffic Act must be
adhered to. Please obey road signs. Speeding and
reckless or negligent driving cost lives.
Residents are again reminded that setting off fireworks
in any residential development is prohibited. Please
report any incidents to the local council (Metro Police
or SAPS).
Residents are reminded that the security personnel
are not in a position of authority when it comes to
council regulations. The duty manager will request
the responsible party to refrain from such acts, but all
incidents must be reported to the local authorities and
record of these reports should be kept.
