THAT COOL GIRL That Cool Girl | Page 45

I have decided to create my event in the style of a festival to fit the theme of my S/S 19 collection. It will be held in April as a way to get people excited about the festival season. The event will be at the nightclub XOYO in Shoreditch as I think this is the perfect location for my target audience and it is a spacious venue.

The purpose of my launch party is to raise awareness of my brand and the S/S 19 festival collection as well as bringing people together to enjoy music from up and coming artists.

I was very particular about the artists I chose for my event as I wanted to ensure I had a balance of both females and males. I have picked up and coming artists who I think deserve recognition, are from a variety of genres and appeal to my target audience and their taste. I wanted music to be the main focus of my event as that is what my brand is all about.

As well as music my event will also have festival style street food and a stand where you can get a festival makeover and then take photos of your look in the photo booth. The guests would be encouraged to post their photos from the event using #TCG, as well as this there would also be a Snapchat filter. All of this will help my brand gain awareness on social media.

The guests will have exclusive access to the S/S 19 Festival Collection before it goes online and they will get a first look at the fashion film as well. Imagery from my lookbook will be displayed on the walls as graphics.

I would invite magazines such as NME, Dazed and ID to my event as well as festival companies as they may want to collaborate with my brand. I have decided not to invite influencers to my event as music is something that everyone should be able to enjoy, so I want it to be open to members of the public, in particular students. To entice them to come I will offer 15% off for student tickets.
