Jahna's (standinherspotlight) Story

Why I’m #TeamAbraham on The Glee Project

I only watched two episodes of the first season of the Glee Project, but watching the finale was all it took for me to fall in love with some of them. I knew, watching that episode, that I was going to watch season 2 in full. So, when the “Edge Of Glory” music video came out, I was super excited to “meet” the new contenders for the first time. I was immediately hooked when I heard Abraham’s part in the song and saw him coming up that escalator in the video. It didn’t hurt that I found him super attractive, either. It usually takes me a while to warm up to people on competition shows and find favorites, but I fell in love with Abraham pretty much instantaneously.

Seriously, though, this man has SUCH a talent. He stood out to me over all the others time and time again- it felt like he was in a completely different league. Not “better” than them, as I find this year’s entire group to be super talented, but in a different league stylistically and in sound. The second I discovered his Youtube channel, the love only intensified. More songs that showed off this fantastic human being’s fantastic talent? Yes please. I was obsessed, I put them all in a Youtube playlist so I could listen to them on a continuous loop, I was torn between wanting him to win Glee Project so I could see him every week on my TV and wanting him to come back to his Youtube channel and have complete creative control.

Ultimately, of course, he didn’t win. But he remains a presence on all of his social networks, teasing us with song clips and keeping those of us who want more begging for it. I scream and squeal like I’m twelve years old again every time he posts a new cover, and I just miss his voice and his face and his everything way too much in between. Definitely looking forward to everything 2013 is going to offer. Hope he plays a show in NYC sometime soon, I’d be the first one there in a heartbeat. Also, I want to know when/if the “Titanium” cover with Nellie is still happening, I think I’ll explode from the power of the combined sheer awesomeness when it does.

#TeamAbraham for life!
