acquired throughout my life. Oh, what an incredible life with which I have been blessed.

“Sometimes we must look outside our own backyards to realize how big the world is and how blessed we are.” (Eugene Nathaniel Butler)

“A thankful heart opens our eyes to a multitude of blessings that continually surround us.”  (Henry Ward Beecher)

Today I am so grateful for the good health I have. During COVID and after the death of my husband, I used food to comfort me and gained unwanted pounds. Although I was not sick, I  did not feel 100% and was unable to do many daily tasks without becoming quickly fatigued. Three months ago, I started my healthy diet and my serious home fitness program and have lost 22 pounds so far. It has not been an easy process and has required patience as well as determination to stay focused and not allow myself to get distracted and give in to my food cravings. I still miss my Ruffle potato chips and pastries. However, what a blessing it is to feel so much better, wear my smaller size clothes again, and not be out of breath when I do my two-mile walk now. In my mind I always feel as if I am still 26 years old, but lately I am looking closer to that age once more. Thank you, dear God, for my healthy body and mind.
