Clyde Edwards , Senior Product Development Officer , also of Indigenous descent , proudly boasts about his experience discovering petroglyphs for work and his personal experiences growing up . Tumenulen Tak is what his people , the Patamunas , call the rock carvings . His grandmother taught him at a very early age that it is the handwriting of Makonaima , the Great Spirit , with important messages for his people . And if he or anyone else dares to touch or even look at the rocks , Mother Nature would respond in the worst way with lightning and thunder , or a supernatural lion-like creature would make a grand appearance . He fondly recalls frantically hurrying past the rocks with his warishi on his back as he made his way home , heeding his grandmother ’ s warnings . “ As Product Development Officers , we are truly blessed to be able to experience the wonders of this beautiful country ”, he continued .
