In an interactive experience through the history of Texas, the past comes to life with the help of The Star of Destiny. This is able with the sets, special effects, sounds and lightning the film provides for the visitors. The film is an informative and creative way of learning about the journey of the state of Texas.

The Star of Destiny is available to the general public, targeted to audiences from all ages, and has daily screenings from January 16 to December 31 of this year in Austin, the Bullock Museum Texas Spirit Theater. With the help of the Spirit Theater, The Star of Destiny is allowed to create a truly memorable experience when exploring the events that lead to what Texas is today. The multi-sensory special-effects theater helps visitors to immerse to the film scenery. Some of these events involve the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 which include realistic weather effects such as the wind, lightning and tremendous sound.

The 200 seats are modified to help the audience have a different and unique experience, such as smoke and special effects that help to recreate the feeling of the takeoff of Saturn V as if you were seated at Mission Control at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston. There are many other sequences of historic events that are enjoyable thanks to the amazing sound effects, rumbling seats and many other surprising features.

The film moves along efficiently and in an innovative way, it follows the historic events that have made an impact in the history of Texas. The film contains a lot of historic thematic material which seems to have a greater approach to Texans rather than including non residences from the state or that are not Americans. Nevertheless, it still allows visitors that have no prior knowledge of Texas history to understand and learn from the short film experience.

The Star of Destiny is a family friendly film with a duration of 16 minutes long which shows Texas as the Lone Star State and persuades the audience to continue with the legacy and heritage of Texans; which they described in the film as ‘fearless and determined’. They gratefully invite visitors to commemorate the Texas cultural past, present and future.
