THE LATEST ancillary to be
released by Røde Microphones has
begun shipping. The Stereo Bar
is a precision microphone mount
capable of quickly forming stereo
arrays.
Spacing marks for the
microphones are indicated on
both sides at 10-, 15- and 20cm
increments – as well as the 17cm
distance necessary for ORTF
stereo recordings – allowing for
quick set-up of common mounting
con gurations.
In the middle of the Stereo Bar
is an angle indicator displaying
both 90-degrees for X-Y stereo
arrays and 110-degrees for ORTF
placement. The bar is constructed
from PC-ABS plastic and can
support the weight of two large
diaphragm microphones at a
capsule distance of up to 20cm.
Microphones are mounted via
two removable -inch threads
that slide along the bar, with
spacers mounted below the bar
that can be relocated to the
top for con guration of stacked
microphone pairs.
The Stereo Bar from Røde
When combined with the
manufacturer’s Pivot Adaptor
accessory, the Stereo Bar can
be tilted through 210-degrees to
increase versatility.

Described as the industry’s lightest
and smallest receiver, the MI-909R,
features dual-antennas, whilst
the MI-909T, a half-rack all-met al
transmitter, also houses a large
LCD screen, rotary control, digital

myMix family of networked digital
mixers.
The RX-2 rack-mountable remote
controlled networked mixer takes
an analogue output from myMix,
and is then capable of feeding a
mix to a wireless IEM-transmitter or
to an ampli er. The unit comes in a
solid metal housing and has been
designed to be operated via the
myMix Control web-based interface.
The remote mixer has the same
mixing capabilities as a standard
myMix, meaning it can select up
to 16 audio channels from the
network to create a stereo mix,
whilst also controlling volume, pan,
tone control and stereo effects per
channel.
The RX-2 can transport a mix that
is created on a myMix in one place
via the network to another location.
For example, a musician on stage
is creating a stereo mix and is
sending that mix to the network.
The RX-2 selects that mix signal
and can add extra channels like
talkback or intercom from other
sources; the output is then fed to
a wireless transmitter for in-ear
monitors.
An optional RMRX rackmount kit
for up to three RX-2s in a 1U format
is also available.
