Adlib Audio targets
international installation market
LONG KNOWN as a UK-based
rentals and installation specialist,
Adlib Audio has announced plans
to become a manufacturer with its
AA brand of loudspeakers, based
on models used in the company’s
own projects for 15 years. The work
is to be handled by a new division
named Adlib Speakers.
Described as ‘hand-crafted’ and
‘the ultimate boutique brand’,
the AA models are being built
in the company’s hometown of
Liverpool in the UK. According to
the manufacturer they are ‘ideal
for numerous environments from
installations to high-end corporate
events and industry shows’.
The range currently comprises
four products. The two-way AA61
can be used in either vertical or
horizontal con gurations and
comprises a 6.5-inch neodymium
woofer and 1-inch tweeter with a
90-degree waveguide. The AA81
is also two-way with an 8-inch
woofer and 1-inch HF compression
driver mounted on a 90-degrees
x 60-degrees rotatable hyperbolic
cosine horn are. Offering 450W
output, the 12-inch AA121 is
a two-way design, housed in a
trapezoidal enclosure with a 1-inch
HF driver mounted on a 90-degrees
x 40-degrees exponential horn
are. Finally, a compact 600W sub
is available in the shape of the
AA12HL600.
All of the cabinets are constructed
from Finnish birch ply and available
with a hard-wearing textured paint
exterior for installations. In addition,
the full and mid-high speakers
include M10 ying points as standard.

The Turbosound iQ15
THE NEWLY announced iQ Series
of loudspeakers from Turbosound
has been equipped with KlarkTeknik networking and DSP to
create what the brand’s parent
company, the Music Group, is calling
‘acoustic integration’. The system
allows communication between the
loudspeakers, the X32 and M32
digital mixers and personal monitor
systems via the company’s Ultranet
standard.

also offers a number of modelling
presets intended to recall ‘10 of the
world’s most iconic loudspeakers’.
The models comprise the iQ15, iQ12,
iQ10 and iQ8 two-way enclosures,
and the iQ18B and iQ15B subs. All of
the cabinets are pole-mountable with
35mm sockets, and are driven by
Klark-Teknik Class-D ampli ers.
Also new from the manufacturer
is the Liverpool range of small to
medium format line arrays.
The TLX43 is an 800W trapezoidal
two-way bi-amped enclosure
loaded with two 4-inch woofers
and a 1-inch compression driver,
and incorporating a 110-degree
horizontal x 10-degree vertical
dispersion waveguide. The TLX84 is
rated by Turbosound at 1,800W, and
comprises two 8-inch woofers and a
1-inch HF section with 110-degrees
x 10-degrees dispersion. Finally, the
TLX212L is a double 12-inch bandpass subwoofer claimed to deliver
3,200W.
