PRODUCTS HFA Series One Systems targets goes linear integrators with OPALine system DESIGNED TO deliver ‘high output and dynamics’ combined with ‘extreme linearity and delity’, Next-proaudio’s new HFA speaker series comprises of fully powered PA systems with custom made components seated in birch plywood enclosures. NEXT-proaudio’s HFA series Manufactured entirely in Portugal, a 2,200W RMS Class-D ampli er sits at the heart of the system with an automatic standby mode that activates when the amp detects no input signal. Integrated DSP with A/D-D/A low noise convertors provides eight selectable presets that can be accessed by a selector located on the front module, via USB remote control, or via the supplied Soundware software. Editable parameters include, EQ, delay, and HP/LP lters. To extend the low frequency response, the HFA speakers can also be paired with HFA subwoofers available in three models: 12-, 15and 18-inch. Additionally, the manufacturer has debuted an allweather loudspeaker in the form of the 118IM-Sub. The OPALine series comprises vertical array loudspeakers featuring four 8-inch woofers and two compression drivers supplying its line array waveguides. The 18-inch sub also houses the system’s dualchannel 2,000W peak, Europeandesigned ampli er and processing electronics. The vertical transducer con guration provides 90-degree horizontal dispersion and, with the two HF waveguides operating in parallel from 1,000 to 2,000Hz, a 40-degree vertical pattern that according to the manufacturer delivers ‘excellent intelligibility in One Systems’ sub and OPALine reverberant spaces by maximising direct sound’. The four NP8 woofers have the same acoustical radiating area as standard 8-inch cones, and can be used both as a line array speaker or stand-alone as a traditional passive speaker. The subwoofer is housed in a tour-grade 18mm marine plywood enclosure with a dual-pole suspension system and rear-mounted castors. The system can be groundstacked using the built-in M20 screwon dual-pole mount system or own for installations using the optionally available eyebolt kits or On Point Audio’s PTB pan and tilt bracket. The PTB bracket enables mechanical steering of the array’s output up to 35-degrees horizontally and vertically in 5-degree increments. There is also an optional kit that covers its handles for a more professional look. The other new product from the American manufacturer, the 118IMSub, joins its line of copolymer based all-weather loudspeakers to provide integrators with extended low end in a very small footprint. The speaker has been built using the One Systems 18I/O extended bass transducer featuring the company’s patented Inside/Only (I/O) voice coil design. The mediumdensity polyethylene enclosure is optimised for high UV exposure and harsh environments, and despite its compact size – approx. 60 x 50 x 53cm – has a frequency response of 40-120Hz (+3dB) and a nearly omnidirectional coverage pattern. The speaker has been designed to be pole mounted. All external rigging and suspension hardware, as well as the metal grille, has been built using 304-grade stainless steel. The structural internal rigging is made with high-strength aluminium, the grille is made using a three-layer ‘rain shield’ design to minimise direct rain contact with the system’s transducers, and the vented design also allows for easy moisture drainage from the interior of the enclosure. Inputs for the speaker consist of a ve-pin barrier strip. Additionally, a weather cover is provided with an integral gland nut connector for outdoor applications, capable of accommodating cable diameters from 7mm to 12mm. The new series aims to remove colouration while increasing rigidity and extending low-frequency response. The range currently comes in two formats. The Pro Series – serving studio applications – consists of ve models: 350 (3.5-inch), 400 (4.5-inch), 500 (5.25-inch), 600 (6.5-inch), and 800 (8-inch); whilst the 200 Series – 201 to 205 (3.5inch to 8-inch) has been designed for custom install applications. All models are two-way active near eld monitors housed in the same die cast moulded enclosure with custom waveguides. Internal DSP with high quality A/D and D/A convertors is employed for the crossover and also provides 0.75dB step HF and LF room compensation EQs at the rear. On the front is a level control ranging from mute to +6dB with centre detent at 0dB.
