THE FOCUS series of steerable
line array systems from German
manufacturer Fohhn has moved into
new territories following the arrival
of Focus Venue, which is speci cally
aimed at larger installations and
the live touring market. The range

low frequency active loudspeakers’,
The trapezoidal EXO10 is a 400W,
passive, two-way enclosure with a 10inch woofer, a 1.75-inch HF section,
a frequency response of 62Hz to
18kHz and a peak SPL rating of
121/127dB at 1m. Similarly, the
wedge-shaped EXO12 and EXO15
cabinets offer 12-inch and 15-inch
woofers respectively, again with
3-inch HF sections, power ratings
of 500W and 600W, peak SPLs of
122/128dB at 1m and 127/133dB
at 1m, and frequency responses of
75Hz to 18kHz and 60Hz to 18kHz.
The trapezoidal EXO18, meanwhile,
is described by the manufacturer
as a three-way, bi-amp ‘FOH in a

the enclosure reportedly delivers
130/136dB at 1m, with a frequency
response of 46Hz to 18kHz.
Next is the VOA Series of line array
enclosures, presented as suitable for
applications as diverse as ‘one-man
shows to stadium rock’. Aimed at
the mid-range rental market, the
speakers have been designed for
simple con guration, deployment and
operation. Three con gurations are
available in the shape of the two-way,
bi-amp, 8-inch VOA8, the threeway, tri-amp VOA16 and the double
