There’s even a reality TV show called “The Best Sandwich in America.” Sandwich fans (basically, all of us) have never had more choices when it comes to flavors and fixings. Reinventing the classics
Some of our favorite childhood sandwiches are getting a new twist while still remaining delicious and comforting. Chefs and home cooks are updating the classic grilled cheese sandwich with artisan cheeses and whole grain breads. Avocado has become a popular addition to a B.L.T.
