SECTION MISSION STATEMENT Since its founding in 1968, the mission of the Northern Texas PGA has been to promote the enjoyment and involvement in the game of golf and to contribute to its growth by providing services to golf professionals and the golf industry. The Northern Texas PGA will accomplish this mission by enhancing the skills of its professionals and the opportunities for amateurs, employers, manufacturers, employees and the general public. In doing so, the Northern Texas PGA will elevate the standards of the professional golfers’ vocation, enhance the economic well-being of the individual member, stimulate interest in the game, and promote the overall vitality of the game. JUNIOR GOLF FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT Founded in 1983, the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is committed to introducing and promoting the game of golf to children of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds throughout north Texas and instilling in them the positive, character developing traits for which the game is so well known. With a full circle of programs and services, close to 10,000 children and their parents are impacted by the game of golf each year: Introduction - Summer Golf Camps, Fairway to Success After School Program, and Golf in Schools Junior Tour - Team Golf, Prep and Medalist Levels, and All American Tours Education - College Scholarships Employment - Internship Program Philanthropy - Kids Play FORE Kids, Ewing Charity Classic, Birdies for Kids, Royal Oaks' Great 108, Four Seasons Resort and Club 24 Hour Teach-A-Thon and Golf Club of Dallas Teach-A-Thon The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation is governed by the Northern Texas PGA Board of Directors. 2
