Dynamic Tennis WarmUps: Better preparation for better performance (DVD). Champaign, IL: Human Kinetics. The United States Tennis Association has produced a new DVD on dynamic warm ups. This DVD is produced by NSCA member Scott Riewald, PhD, CSCS, and NSCA member Mark Verstegen, MS, CSCS provides on-screen coaching. The video is divided into ?ve sections: introduction, what is dynamic warm-up?, using dynamic warm-up, movement routines, and wrap-up. The majority of the video is dedicated to tennis speci?c movement routines, which includes three warm ups that emphasize forward/backward movements, lateral movements, and multi-directional movements. The set-up of the video makes its reviewing value very high. From the main menu you can go back and view any of the three programs, and within the programs, each exercise is its own chapter. This makes it easy to skip ahead or back to find a speci?c exercise to review. If you work with tennis players, and are looking for dynamic warm ups to add to your program, look no further than this video. Even if you don’t work with tennis players, but want to learn some new dynamic warm up drills, you may want to look into this video. DVD, 45 minutes Bulletin 25.6 Epley, B. (2004).
