Workplace Mental Health
No one is immune to mental health problems — we are all at risk. Workplaces are
heavily impacted by mental health issues.
When mental health issues are not addressed and treated properly, there can
be considerable personal and financial costs to individuals and organizations.
Fortunately, with prevention and early treatment and support, many of these costs
can be significantly reduced or eliminated.
CMHA – Calgary Region understands that talking about mental health issues is
tough, especially at work. This year, the Workplace Mental Health program was
launched to address that need.
The program offers: Workshops; presentations; an e-learning module for stress
management; and the annual Bottom Line Conference available for managers,
supervisors, human resource, benefits and union providers as well as employees.
In 2012-2013:

– a shift that is beginning to see mental
illness in a new and positive light and
includes understanding and acceptance.”
