Welcome
It gives me great pleasure to present the Kildare and Wicklow
Education and Training Board (KWETB) Autumn 2016 brochure
listing the Further Education and Training classes, programmes
and services on offer across County Kildare and County
Wicklow.
KWETB believe that quality education should be accessible
to all. Through our Further Education and Training centres,
schools and colleges and in numerous community locations
we are endeavouring to provide the courses and learning
opportunities that are required for lifelong learning and
continued development to those interested in leisure pursuits,
employment, up-skilling and re-employment.
Having recently assumed responsibility for the SOLAS (former
FÁS) training programmes, including apprenticeships, the
Youthbridge community training centre and community
training programmes, we are now in a position to offer a
comprehensive range of education and training opportunities
to support those wishing to re-enter the workforce at
whatever stage they are at. KWETB will continue to offer clear
progression options, supporting learners to the next stage of
their journey, whether it is employment, further education or
higher education.
Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board will
endeavour to provide a responsive, innovative and stimulating
learning environment providing courses and programmes on
a modular and flexible basis. QQI and other certification are
available on many courses and programmes from level 2 to
level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
