WINTER PROGRAMS FOR TEENS
Spend Wednesday evenings with us at the library! The library will offer fun programs on
most Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for teens ages 12 and up. These programs will
meet in the McKinley Auditorium. No registration is required.
Teen Movie Nights: Bring a blanket to sit on and join us on the following
Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium to watch a movie and grub
on snacks: December 17th and February 25th. (No January Meeting)
Spilling Ink Teen Writers’ Club: Join special guest and club moderator, Kerri
Rickard, in the auditorium for this exciting writing club. The club will meet
monthly on the following Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. December 10th,
January 14th and February 18th.
For the Love of Chocolate: Come play games with chocolate and make chocolate
treats to eat on Wednesday, February 11th at 6:00 p.m.

YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE
YAC, which stands for YOUTH ADVISORY
COMMITTEE, is a group of teens that meets
monthly at the library to talk about books,
movies, music, current events and more! Here’s
just a few things that YAC members do:
Members write entries for the McKinley
Teen Blog
Members make suggestions to the librarian
on what types of materials they’d like to see
at the library
Members coordinate teen volunteer
services at the library
Members plan & participate in service
projects for the library
