KNIGHT SCHOOL
In early 2015, the City of Charlotte began convening community stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for bridging the digital divide.
Charlotte’s Digital Inclusion Steering Team is based out of the James L.
Knight School of Communications at Queens University, where Bruce
Clark leads the city-wide digital inclusion effort as project manager.
The team is leading a community-based effort to develop and implement
practical strategies for universal broadband access in Charlotte-Mecklenburg.
The goal is for all neighborhoods in the greater city area to be connected,
and for all residents, especially those in underserved communities, to benefit from home internet access.
