Prototype
Mobile Electronic
Engagement Platform (MEEP)
Team #BetterTogether envisioned a
mobile electronic engagement platform (MEEP) to bring portable wifi,
computers, and digital literacy training
to neighborhoods with a traveling bus.
MEEP would operate in collaboration
with existing community events to help
seniors get out of the house to interact
with their neighbors and with technology that will accommodate their lives.
Participant quote
“I think one of the best parts about
the Jam is the prototype and the
testing, because it gets people out
into the community, talking to one
another and asking, ‘‘What is it you
need? What is it you want? How can
we help you?’”

Communication, Queens University
“I enjoyed the idea of building something that might my neighborhood
could actually use and would be productive on a local level.”
