Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA)
A. Introduction
This annual report summarizes the key developments
for the year 2014. Professionalization of the Customs
clearing and freight forwarding sector dominated the
activities of the Federation. The main focus was the
East African Customs Freight Forwarding Practicing
Certificate (EACFFPC). During the year, training
of the critical mass was attained and the support
by TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) officially came to
conclusion. It also covers other activities from the
federation’s other thematic pillars. The activities have
been grouped according to the pillars as detailed
below. The report further highlights some of the
challenges as well as proposed way forward in 2015
and beyond.

Practicing Certificate (EACFFPC) Training
activities
• Training
EACFFPC training continued in all countries
during the year to remain the federation’s
predominant engagement. Training centers at
the Institute of Tax Administration (ITA), TAFFA
training Centre, Uganda Revenue Authority
Training school, Kololo S.S, ADR, Kenya School
of Revenue Administration (KESRA) Nairobi

and KIFWA Mombasa remained operational for
the bigger part of the year. Burundi’s last class
