Few — if any — associate the city with legit hip-hop but The Posterz might just change that! Despite some love from The Hundreds’s blog, Métro Montréal and Vice, The Posterz remain the city’s best kept secret — something they’ve endorsed since they bill themselves on Facebook as, “Something unexpected from a city you never expected.” Trust us, that’s about to change! I S S U E T WO They dropped their stellar Starships & Dark Tints EP online as a free download in late 2013 and it’s seriously the ish—get it and you’ll thank us! Comprised of big, bold beats, cool, crisp sounds and rhymes with more hooks than a fisherman’s tackle box, Starships & Dark Tints is a slammin’ statement that begs to be heard. Powered by the standout single “The Bass Song” — the spiffy looking music video of which is making its rounds online — the song could very well become the song of the summer! It’s just sooo catchy! While they’ve played live with A$AP Ferg an Pusha T, and headlined some short runs around Quebec, we can only hope that Jo, Chris and Nate take The Posterz on the road because their live show is unreal!
