he water ripples gently over
the lake’s surface, while in the
distance bare-chested fishermen
row into the sunset in their small boat.
From some hidden bush, the laughter
of children playing and the joyful
chirping of birds are the only sounds
that break the perfect quiet. The view
is simply breathtaking. If paradise were
a place, this would be it.
Perched on a hill overlooking the
stunningly beautiful Lake Kivu, Rwiza
village is the perfect getaway. As far
as the eye can see, the land seems
virgin and untamed, the air smells pure
and fresh and the water of the lake is
limpid and clear.
Located about 4km from the centre
of the hill town of Kibuye, Rwiza
village is the brainchild of Mr. Deo
Musabyimana.
Deo established the place in 2008
with the aim of creating a serene place
where guests could come to relax,
drink in the beautiful scenery and get
