Thumbnail and preview options

When using Color Factory in a system where FotoStation clients are used for browsing and file flow organization, you may want Color Factory to automatically add thumbnails and previews to all images processed. One likely scenario would be using Color Factory to process all incoming files and sort them in various folders for FotoStation users to browse through and edit before sending them on to the next step in the production line. In this case, Color Factory may be utilized to add FotoStation thumbnails and previews to all images in the system, thus reducing client and network load that would normally occur if each client were to generate thumbnails for all images in a network folder. Similarly, Color Factory can be configured to crop and size images according to the soft-crop data contained in images edited in FotoStation.
You may choose to add a thumbnail and / or a preview image to the output image file. This will marginally increase the size of each file processed. If the clients are only to be used for browsing the contents of a folder and transmitting the files further in the system, you may find that adding a thumbnail is sufficient. If more meticulous evaluation of the image content is required, also adding a preview may be worthwhile. You may also adjust the sharpening of the images to produce a clearer thumbnail / preview.
