Diameter node configurations are divided into several categories:
z General configuration defines the host identity and realm for the node, as well as basic
connection information and default routing behavior.
z Application configuration defines the Diameter application(s) that run on the node, as well
as any optional configuration parameters passed to those applications.
z Peer configuration defines the other Diameter nodes with which this node operates.
z Routes configuration defines realm-based routes that the node can use when resolving
messages.
The sections that follow describe how to configure each aspect of a Diameter node.
