Paralympics gamesmaker Georgie
Roberts was guest speaker at the
Worcester & District Riding Club AGM
and awards evening, held at The
Crown & Sandys Hotel in Ombersley.
Georgie attended the dinner in
the uniform she wore for all her
official duties at Greenwich Park and
explained the two year selection
process, which culminated in her
being inside the dressage arena for
the competitions.
A selection of photos of Georgie and
other helpers, with riders who have
now become household names,
made her unforgettable experience
more vivid, and Georgie said the
competitors could not have been
more appreciative of all the helpers
who felt they had been honoured to
be there.
The theme for the evening was
very British with red, white and
blue balloons decorating the tables
and continued with videos of club
member Liz Willetts riding dressage
to Elvis music to come second at the
