HUDKESHWAR (KHURD)
CITY VISIT
Second year fourth semester design problem started with
introduction to climate responsive and vernacular
architecture. The purpose of this exercise was to study the
village, its physical limits, and activities of people residing,
materials and technique used there locally.
Prof.M.K.Gujarkar guided us on the work to be done
during the visits. This was followed by a guest lecture by
famous architect Paramjeet Ahuja. He introduced the
student to protocol for documentation and
the
requirement and material to be carried to the site!!
The students of each group carried out their work which
included knowing the village statistic, the population, the
thresholds the map of the village, construction technique,
building typology, and road networks etc.
