Page 2 ESC Newsletter Focus on Progress Daisy Rana, Assistant Head With the new academic year in full swing now, we are keen to communicate with you regarding your child's progress so far. On 25th September, we look forward to sharing the Year 7 Settling In Report with you, written by your child's Form Tutor. This is an excellent opportunity to summarise how your child has settled into the academic and wider life of TES. On Thursday, 1st October, we will be holding Parent-Teacher meetings for all Year 7 students, where you will have the opportunity to meet with your child's Year 7 subject teachers and share the progress that they have made this year. The meetings will be held from 3:30pm until 7:00 pm and all Year 7 staff will be present, including Mr Imbleau, Head of Year 7. To make an appointment with your child's teacher, please log on to TESmile. Your child will then discuss their targets with their Form Tutor in the days that follow the Parent-Teacher meetings and receive clear and focused guidance on how to make their targets manageable. We are looking forward to meeting with you in the next few weeks and sharing the successful moments that your child has had with us in the first few weeks of this term at TES. News from the ESCPA Anna Durmus, ESCPA On September 11, the ESCPA had its first meeting, which was a success, with a lot of old members and new faces as well. If you want to join us, the next meeting will be held on October 23rd at 9:00 am at the secondary campus. Starting from this year we decided to launch a new Parent Support Group, which will focus on providing useful information about the school, as well as the general information about Taipei to new families. We hope that this group will help the newcomers to make their transition period as smooth as possible. Please feel free to contact [email protected] if you are new to TES. We also held our first monthly Vegetarian Lunch, organised together with the Roots & Shoots ECA, on Wednesday September 16th. The vegetarian lunch is cooked by volunteer parents and offered to the students free of charge. Please encourage your child to stop by and taste! Also, if you feel that you can join the team of our ‘Renowned Chef’ parents and treat the kids with your signature vegetarian dishes, we are looking for you! from the British, French and German sections, in the tasting, because in the end they will be the recipients of the much better food! Our first Casual Coffee Morning of The ESCPA will continue supporting the school in different activities and events throughout ѡ
