Introduction
The Listening Activities and Pre-AP Speaking supplement that accompanies T’es
branché? Level 2 gives students a variety of opportunities to listen to the voices and
conversations of native French speakers, and to use what they have heard to deepen
their understanding of the French language. There are two listening comprehension
activities for each lesson of the textbook (represented by headphones icons), as well as
one final activity at the end of each unit, that help to synthesize important vocabulary
and structures through a dialogue, monologue, or narrative. All of these activities
directly prepare students for the listening comprehension tests in each unit Test. At
the end of each unit, a simulated conversation with directions and audio prompts
prepares students for the format of the AP French language and culture test.
The activities in the student version of the Listening Activities supplement
contain audio files that are recorded without answers. The Listening Activities
Teacher’s Edition provides a link to the audio files and is located on the Resources
page. Teachers may choose to play the audio for student practice or for testing.
