CLARE SOCIETY? The St. Clare Society was established to recognize those visionary alumni and friends of St. Francis College who have included the College in their financial planning through a bequest or trust, named the College as owner or beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan, or participated in a planned giving vehicle such as a Charitable Remainder Trust. All St. Clare Society members share something in common—a commitment to the St. Francis College mission to provide all students with a values-based, quality education at an affordable cost. The Society is named for St. Clare, who founded a community of Franciscan women to collaborate with St. Francis and his followers through their own ministry of prayer, support, and service. Benefits of membership in the St. Clare Society include: ƒ ƒ being remembered in a special way at the College’s weekly celebrations of the Eucharist and at our Annual Alumni Mass; ƒ ƒ having your name listed in the Annual Report; ƒ ƒ receiving invitations to all local St. Francis College special events and to any special College events planned for your region; and ƒ ƒ having the satisfaction of knowing that as St. Francis proclaimed in his most famous prayer that “It is in giving that we receive.” Learn more about the St. Clare Society: call 718.489.5361, email [email protected], or visit sfc.edu/plannedgiving 26 S T .
