Lasting Support Starts with a Planned Giving
Join the St. Clare Society
RECOGNITION YOU DESERVE FOR THE LEGACY YOU LEAVE
Clubs are everywhere. You may already be qualified to join one with
significant rewards. One that celebrates the words of our patron—it is
in giving that we receive. If you have made a planned gift of any type
or size to St. Francis College, then you are automatically eligible for
membership in our legacy society, the St. Clare Society.
We created the St. Clare Society to honor the generosity of people
like you. We want to make sure you know how much we appreciate you
and your gift. When you join our legacy society, we can get to know
you and make sure that we use your gift in the way you intend. If you
have made a planned gift to SFC, please call (718.489.5361) or email
us ([email protected]) today.
Thanks for giving and believing in the legacy of St. Francis College.
WHAT IS THE ST. CLARE SOCIETY?
The St. Clare Society was established to recognize those visionary
alumni and friends of St. Francis College who have included the College
in their financial planning through a bequest or trust, named the College
as owner or beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan, or
participated in a planned giving vehicle such as a Charitable Remainder
Trust. All St. Clare Society members share something in common—a
commitment to the St. Francis College mission to provide all students
with a values-based, quality education at an affordable cost.
The Society is named for St. Clare, who founded a community of
Franciscan women to collaborate with St. Francis and his followers
through their own ministry of prayer, support, and service. Benefits
of membership in the St. Clare Society include:
being remembered in a special way at the College’s weekly
celebrations of the Eucharist and at our Annual Alumni Mass;
having your name listed in the Annual Report;
receiving invitations to all local St. Francis College special events
and to any special College events planned for your region; and
having the satisfaction of knowing that as St. Francis proclaimed
in his most famous prayer that “It is in giving that we receive.”
