Filmmaker hopes creations ‘ will change people ’

Candy Beard of Dreams Come True Films says she has one directive . “ Our films , while they ’ re faithbased , they ’ re not preachy ,” she said . “ And that ’ s what a lot of people love about our films — they don ’ t beat it into your head that you ’ ve got to have a savior . All of our films have had very special issues — child abduction , child abuse , racism , bullying in school , mental illness and suicide . A lot of our films have really important issues that we hope will touch people and change people .
