In addition to microblading , Hamersley completed training for her paramedical tattoo art license . This allows her to create 3D areolas for breast cancer survivors and create scar camouflage . She is thrilled to offer this service to residents of the Wabash Valley .
“ When women are done with breast reconstruction , there ’ s usually nothing there but scars ,” she said . “ So many women don ’ t feel complete . I ’ m able to come in and provide a tattoo on a flat surface with dimension and it looks like a nipple and areola .”
The machine she uses for paramedical tattoo art allows Hamersley to provide color correction treatment for scar camouflage as well . For scars that are a result of facelifts , biopsies , accidents and burns , she can use the machine to create a camouflage effect using the surrounding pigment colors .
Hamersley loves helping her clients feel more confident about themselves and their life . “ I really enjoy my clients , talking with them and getting to know them and their stories ,” she said . “ I love seeing their reaction when I show them the mirror at the end , or receiving a text the next day that says , I cannot believe how good I feel about myself .”
