Emily Crapo

Emily Crapo has worked in transportation for 22 years . And Morris Trucking , which she leads , continues to work with local companies to fulfill transportation needs . Crapo has worked in all areas of the business and has helped grow the company , which also supports other local businesses . Company drivers have been recognized nationally for safe practices , an exceptional group that has come into focus in the national lens this past year . The business , with Crapo ’ s guidance , is dedicated to a safe working environment and giving its employees the respect they deserve .
A Terre Haute native , Crapo is raising her family here with the help of husband Eddie . The two have one child together , Eleanore , who is 6 , and Emily has two step daughters , Maddy and Macy , who have recently graduated from college .
Crapo has worked at Morris Trucking most of her professional career . She has been the race director for bicycle races and kids ’ triathlons in Terre Haute . She has given countless swim lessons and had the opportunity to coach swimming at Rose-Hulman for six years . She raced bicycles and competed in the Olympic Trials in Jackson , Mississippi , in 2000 and has completed Ironman Lake Placid and the Chicago Marathon . She has also been an instructor at a USA Cycling Camp in Big Bear , California .

Gerrie Wilson

A native of Albany , New York , Gerrie Wilson is the fourth of nine children . She describes her childhood as wonderful and that she was surrounded by a loving family steeped in faith-based values by maternal sisters and raised in the restaurant business by paternal grandparents .
After high school she met a G . I . in the Army and after a year they married . Years later with small children in tow , she moved with her husband ( of 48 years ) to his hometown of Clinton . Once settled she easily made lifelong friendships , she says , because of the Midwest ’ s charm . Wilson became involved in many efforts to improve the quality of life in the quaint town including cleanup Clinton efforts , Sportland Park revitalization and Rediscover Clinton .
Wilson had aspired to be an actress , but found her audience in food . She has worked in the restaurant business for most of her life . Her mantra is treating guests as if they sat at her own dining room table .
Her proudest accomplishments are her children and grandchildren , and the blessings of teaching them culinary skills and a hard work ethic .
Her restaurant is located in the heart of “ Little Italy Town ” and is proud to serve delicious homemade cuisine . ( It also has won the “ Best Italian Beef in the Wabash Valley .”)
