WOMEN IN BUSINESS
Amazing women , amazing stories
T o keep all facets of life in perspective while still following your passions , caring for children and your community is a seemingly impossible request . That ’ s why this time of year , during our annual Women in Business awards , I find myself in awe of those we honor .
I struggle daily , remind myself constantly of my values , my passions , all while caring for my children and aging parents and I wonder to myself , “ How do they do it with such patience and grace ?”
They struggle too , they face sometimes insurmountable challenges , but they keep going . And they remember through it all what ’ s most important to them .
The six women we profile in this special issue of Terre Haute Living have served in marketing and leadership roles , own and have owned businesses , they run companies and nonprofits , serve as spiritual guides and minister to those in prison .
They advocate for their communities , organize and connect people with services .
They support our most vulnerable , and our youngest community members .

And we only have the space to honor six of them , with extended profiles and photos . Just six . Also included in this magazine are short profiles on more Women in Business in our community . These women represent only a portion of the women in this community striving to better it .
The women featured here are only human ( they share some challenges and failures with us ), and behind the six we ’ ve chosen to feature through profiles are hundreds and thousands more just like them , working tirelessly for others , no doubt making their communities better places to live for all of us .
For this , we owe a great deal of gratitude and this is just one way of saying thank you .
