Tell us about your career journey . How did you get where you are today , and who / what helped you along the way ?
I
started my business career in Health Information Management and Healthcare Risk Management . After having my youngest daughter , I decided to change careers after having a difficult time finding quality child care . My new child care provider served on the board of directors of CASY and told me about their organization ’ s CEO opening and 21 years later I ’ m honored to continue to serve in this role .
What ’ s an accomplishment of which you are most proud ?
I
am proud that our agency merged with Chances for Youth . Two successful agencies proved to be much stronger working as one .
What ’ s the source of your motivation ?
Working in a nonprofit youth service organization , it is easy to stay motivated . Every day we see children and families in need and chances are we have a program that can assist . If not , we can usually find another organization to assist and provide resources .
