What community causes interest you and why ?

Serving has always been a priority for me and my involvement with community service organizations is an important component of my life . My time is presently focused in areas that advance education , economic development and positively impact the lives of families in our community . I currently serve on boards or committees with Ivy Tech , Vigo County Education Foundation , Art Spaces , RiverSCAPE , Work and Learn Indiana , Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce , Engage Mentoring , University of Iowa Alumni Mentoring , and the Western Golf Association - Evans Scholar Foundation .

What other women inspire you and why ?

I

’ m inspired by individuals who take risks , stretch themselves and work to create positive change whatever that might be . And I ’ m especially motivated by others who say , “ I don ’ t know if I can do that ,” and then they do it anyway . We are a community blessed with many successful and driven female leaders and women who continue to make positive impacts . I especially admire Lea Anne Crooks , chancellor at Ivy Tech , because of her passion for her work , her leadership style , and her continuous pursuit for personal growth . She recently received her doctorate and that ’ s just one more reason she ’ s so impressive !
Describe a major business or other challenge you ’ ve experienced and how you resolved it .
Lori Danielson , president and founder of GoTime Coaching , thrives on helping others achieve more in the areas of organizational health , planning , leadership development and personal growth .

One of the most challenging times of my professional career came in 1997 . My son was six months old , and I was pregnant with my daughter , when my mother was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that took her life within weeks . Looking back on that time is a blur as I was trying to help support my mom and dad who lived hours away , while working full-time
