Tell us about your career journey . How did you get where you are today , and who / what helped you along the way ?
I
’ ve been blessed to have been raised by entrepreneurs and restaurateurs . My grandmother and grandfather started as grocers and had the passion for cooking . It was the catalyst for our family ’ s journey in the restaurant industry . We ’ ve always had the support of family along the way .
What ’ s an accomplishment of which you are most proud ?
Although we love receiving accolades and awards , being able to expand and grow my business during the past 10 years and make positive impacts in the community has to be the best accomplishment that we continue to work toward daily .
What ’ s the source of your motivation ?
The love of creating great food that people enjoy and the hospitality of having guests at your door .
What community causes interest you and why ?
Through the years , our family has been actively involved in the Breakfast Optimist club , the Rediscover Clinton project , and many other outreaches and programs we have been blessed to support .
What other women inspire you and why ?
My grandmother , mother and her sisters who taught me respect for hard work and effort , and displayed commitment in so many areas of their lives , have been my inspiration to continue to give my best . I can always look to their examples for strength .
Describe a major business or other challenge you ’ ve experienced and how you resolved it .
Our deepest challenge has been to continue to grow and evolve these past two years during the COVID-19 pandemic . We have had to become extremely aware of making changes and constantly strategizing our next move . To be able to maintain and increase sales during this timeframe has been a whole new approach to our business .
