On-campus collections include Hadley Pottery, an extensive collection of 19thcentury British watercolors and the largest collection of original watercolors by D. Omer“ Salty” Seamon. Special exhibits featuring local, national and international artists are on display in the hallways of Moench Hall and other academic buildings. All exhibits are free and open to the public from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. weekdays. Group tours are available.

Located in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts, the University Art Gallery provides exhibitions of contemporary art and a Visiting Artist / Scholar lecture series that coincides with the exhibits. Open Monday- Wednesday from 11 a. m. to 4 p. m. and Thursday from 11 a. m. to 6 p. m. The gallery is open to the public. Admission is free.

CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center shines a light on the story of the Holocaust and Eva Kor to illuminate the world with hope, healing, respect and responsibility. The museum features the“ Choices” exhibit, which describes Eva’ s life before the war, the rise of Nazism, her survival of Auschwitz and the horrible experiments done on her by Dr. Josef Mengele. Open Thursday through Saturday 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.

Renowned labor leader, 5-time presidential candidate, and humanitarian Eugene V. Debs was born in Terre Haute. His Midwestern- Victorian architecture home, built in 1890, is a National Historic Landmark. The museum, founded in 1965, is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 5 p. m. and by appointment. Free admission, suggested donation is $ 5. Closed holidays.

Located inside the Terre Haute Convention and Visitor Bureau, this museum is filled with a vast variety of track & field and cross country artifacts and memorabilia from across Indiana. The Hall of Fame’ s facility not only houses memorabilia, but also celebrates athlete, coach and contributor accomplishments from the past 120 years. The museum educates the visitor with both interactive selfguided tours, but also with professionally guided tours by appointment. The museum’ s motto is to preserve, educate and celebrate the past and retell the Indiana history of the sports. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m.
