In conversation with Laurie Trueman and Lauren Stephen Sophie Willison Good morning Lauren and good evening Laurie! How are you both? I thought it might be interesting to have an ‘in conversation’ with you both, seeing how we are all linked and all doing similar things at around about the same age and all quite involved with the momentum and energy of our passions and current projects! Lola Stephen Hey Soph, morning! Yeah that’s such a lovely idea (smile emoticon) Laurie Trueman Good morning from Britain, you two! How are you both finding it out there? Sophie Jade Willison Sydney has been an adventure so far! Seen a lot of beautiful places and been enjoying outdoor swimming a lot! Not missing the 4 degree weather! There seems to be a lot of good things going on in London right now, I’m trying not to pay too much attention to that... Lola Stephen Yeah Perth is going v. good too, there’s such a great creative community here even thought they always talk down about it, but it’s better than any I’ve experienced. Although places in Scotland aren’t hard to beat! But I booked my one way over east for Feb so I’ll be in Sydney with ya soon Sophie! How’s London? I’m thinking London might be next on my places to live list, I wanna experience it! Sophie Jade Willison Yeah I was very impressed with Perth actually! A lot of things going on, quite exciting, was sad when I had to leave, would have liked to explore the art community with you more Lauren! Which airport are you flying into? I’m thinking about driving down to Melbourne at some point, curious to see what it’s like there! It’s expensive to live in London, as Laurie will probably mention! Lola Stephen Yeah me too, it’s always painted as this place with nothing to do but i dont think that at all! I’m not sure yet I haven’t booked my flights but I’ve found ones for around $60 which is great! But yeah we should definitely do Perth. And I want to go to Melbourne so save that trip for me too!! And yes I’d need some money first, it’s either London or New York and my bank balance can’t handle any right now haha Laurie Trueman I’m so glad you’re both having a great time! Outdoor swimming sounds beautiful, the weather is awful here at the moment. Snow has been forecasted! Perth sounds amazing. Great that you’ve been able to set up the launch, it looks and sounds great. Are you going Sophie? I miss our launch at CD-R! Come back so we can do another; ha. London is good but as Sophie said; expensive. I’m currently living between both Nottingham and London at the moment as whilst I don’t have a job I can’t afford to be there. I still have the flat there and I am just holding out for the one of the jobs I’ve applied for. Since I finished at another everything seems very few and far between.
