I’m working / what it’s doing, where
I’m going. 1, 2 & 3)
I work with the moon,
I work for the man,
The man’s my friend,
We make out sometimes,
We fight sometimes too,
The man’s in my head,
The man’s in my moon,
The man’s in crazy.
See when I see pictures I see them moving,
I see them in sound,
I see them static, I see them doubled,
(a single chord wrings out,
A hand slaps an ass,
A lip gets bitten,
A dog twists [an exotic form],
Everything is in black and white,
A photo emerges,
10, 20, 9, 80,
A white wall,
[It’s a gallery context],
A tapestry,
Holy voices sing out,
[A tiny book]),
Waves are swayed,
A sonic vision,
The vision is in motion,
The motion governed by statues,
And we’re all dancing
A monologue from Amphitrite,
There is no medium,
We all just do everything here,
If we didn’t, what else would we do?
(Every one’s a star, so I’d like to be
a moon. A communal desire I do believe.)
I wished I had artists’ hands,
Man’s hands,
Shepherds hands,
A Cornish hen,
A lute, a lyre, a gun, a glass of clear water,
A tiny boat (no bigger than that of Bas Jan Aders’.)
I made a list when I turned 19…
It’s reading something like ‘Ambition’,
It read 50 dollars towards a Vimeo page (and
when I bought it I figured I’d really have to make
videos.)
It read work with Gosha, work with Hedi, ‘come
January I found myself in *Paris, London, Barcelona - (*someday I’d like to write an article on
the importance of utilizing new media resources/accessible mediums - I swear it’ll help you.)
It reads “show at Team Gallery before I turn

It’s always changing see,
Nothing here is static,
Tides they rise and swell a lot,
I live near the ocean so I know a lot about tides,
(If a hurricane hit, and it was high tide, and a full
moon rising Capricorn, this whole plane would
be flooded – South Carolina 2014, July),
And I should mention that the cliffs aren’t as
stable as everyone thinks,
My dad used to listen to Coast to Coast (‘a.m.
gold’ as we called it), and he said an earthquake
was coming,
‘I can feel it, The Big One is gonna hit real soon’,
I think I’m headed east soon too since you
asked… real far, silk trail, up state, red sun,
caterpillar crawl etc.
Julian Klincewicz is a San Diego based artist
and musician. He is currently preparing work
for several exhibitions to be held in both Tokyo
and California (2015-2016.). He recently showed
a new body of work at ROCKET Gallery in Harajuku, which explored the relationship between
people and precious objects in the context of a
specific atmosphere- 2:00am.
