*Eating At a Food Court Most supermarkets and malls have food courts and they are a great place to eat. For most places you purchase a ticket or tickets in 100 THB units. In most food courts this ticket is an electronically read plastic card although a (very) few places still have paper tickets. Having purchased your “credit” you are free to choose from a variety of food vendors with a wide variety of meals on offer. So you are able to mix and match plus it means that everyone in the party can select what they want. You may well find that the food vender does not speak anything but Thai so every now and then, non Thai speakers have to resort to pointing etc. but that’s all a part of the fun. Sometimes the signs have English although the translation may make you wonder…
