See page 2 Welcome to TEP 2014 Welcome to New York City n b ehalf of the Amer ic an Council on Germany, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you to the 2014 Transatlantic Entrepreneur Partnership Conference. We also welcome the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Brita Wagener. We are very pleased that once again we are in partnership with the Consulate. The American Council on Germany is an independent, non-partisan, nonprofit organization created in 1952 to promote dialogue among leaders from business, government and the media in the United States and Europe. For more than sixty years, we have been at the forefront of the transatlantic relationship. Our Fellowship for Young Entrepre­ neurs and Innovators is one example to the ways in which we hope to foster innovation and cooperation between s the German Consul General to New York City I welcome you to the 2014 Transatlantic Entrepreneur Part­nership Conference. For the fourth time, the German Consulate General has partnered with the American Council on Germany as patrons for this event. Since then the ACG has introduced their Fellowship for Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators and the German Chamber of Commerce has started a program for German startups in New York. We welcome and support initiatives that foster transatlantic collaboration and understanding between Germany and the United States. Supporting young entrepreneurs is especially important, because it looks to the future and creates opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic.
