Weisse Rose
New paving decorates the remodelled platz, now home of the Weisse Rose and a popular spot for meeting between Tempelhofians as well as members of the HQ.
This cafe is a sort of 'neutral Switzerland' providing respite from the stringent HQ rules for slaves who are often seen sitting on the cafe chairs having casual conversations with locals, guests and even Gents alike!
Occasionally one will snap to attention - standing as a Gent enters the area but this custom is entirely voluntary as a personal sign of respect. The general feeling is this recreational area is a place to break from high protocols and relax!
