Let me start with values.

These are patience, manners and responsibility with responsibility being most important and how you act towards different people; taking efforts to know them better.

Then there is also patience. I like to take my time to observe and watch before I act. I think the ability to communicate is an important asset for a Gent; not just how to lead a communication about varying topics but to have tact in speaking honestly about your likes and dislikes. Not something as easy to do as it sounds. Never one sided but there should be a golden thread in it - Our German expression for this is "roter faden" .

A Gent should have the ability to lead communication but also to have the ability to listen very carefully to the things which are not directly expressed.

We navigated through a meandering stream of conversation where we discussed other things revolving around Sir Cad's interests in the whole BDSM and D/s genre till one particular question struck a chord - in which I asked after the qualities he most enjoyed training in a slave. Eyes lit up as he replied :

I'll answer in two parts.

Firstly, What I enjoy most in a slave. Their willingness to serve, to give pleasure. However, what I enjoy is also dependant on my mood as well as the individual slave.

A slave making an effort to please me makes me happy and I insist it is beyond just scening. It makes me feel good to keep such company as in an RL club. I am also honest with what i see and how I feel. I do not compliment for compliments' sake.

In the second; I like being a trainer- I like sharing my skills by training and learning about the other person ; being aware. Being asked for something adds to my vanity.

It's something of a trainer trait. I like to answer questions from someone new to it all. I enjoy long explanations as long as it does not spoil the mood. I am also very attentive to the talents of other individuals and enjoy learning from those.
