It’s high time we step back into the visceral reality of our communities. The ‘Bens’ of the
world would agree; the ‘Jims’ might continue chewing digital cud and hay. Or is it
rather the indefinite case that we always possess the opulent right to resile from unfitting
professional conditions?
The gift of a devolving economic system—always initially the vehicle of a glorious
‘individualism’, but later found fragmenting holistic self, personal identity, and
communal responsibility. What pluming possibility! When the ‘choice to quit’ is a singular
matter of eating or not, the choice is no longer plural. And in a world that ‘leaders’ find
‘overpopulated’, life is often a battle to ‘ride or die’, not a right which guarantees the
