The exact date was July 19, 2009 when we started our Overnight at St. Benedict’ s. It was not as hot as other summer weeks, but the humidity was terrible. That made sleeping on the floor of the Dalton Gym just that more uncomfortable. We have a lot of photos from that week, more than any other freshman class before us, probably because digital cameras were really popular by the time we started our overnight. Chris Lands was the senior who was our Freshmen Leader, and we met our counselors who would guide us through the next year of our time at St. Benedict’ s. Some of them went on to be Section Leaders during the following year. Mr. Scanlan took photos of all the Groups, and when we look at them now, we remember some of our former classmates but we realize how many of us still are here, and ready to graduate as the Class of 2013. It’ s been real.
