Yearbook!
Here’ s how it all went down. We met for major meetings twice during the season, both on days when we didn’ t have school: as an act of service to The School on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and as an act of desperation on President’ s Day. We needed to negotiate with each other about how we wanted the overall yearbook to look like, and how we wanted each section or group to appear. Above, you will see that we looked at hundreds of examples from print sources, mostly magazines and college brochures, for ideas about layout, type font, color, and emphasis photography. We determined the order that the sections should proceed for this year’ s edition of the Telolog. And then we assigned tasks and sections to each other so that the work got done and didn’ t overwhelm anyone. That was the plan, at least. Instead of having more meetings, we checked in with Dr. Lansang at several points during the production season so that we could keep each other informed about progress. As the deadlines approached, we pushed as hard as we could to get the work completed. Some things didn’ t work out as well as we wanted,( for instance, we had to re-use last year’ s student photos because we didn’ t get time allotted to do another 560-or-so new photos). Then every single photo had to get carefully laid out and plotted. And then there was the writing. Oh, the writing! And did we mention trying to get the seniors to hand in their information by the deadline?! It was enough to drive us into hiding. But in the end, we pushed on, and it’ s done, and we think it looks great. Here’ s an attempt to give credit where credit is due:

Yes: 1,300, that’ s one-thousand-three-hundred photos. You can count them yourself. Not to mention the stories and captions. So while you’ re at it, counting and reading all of it, we hope you enjoy this year’ s edition of the Telolog. We truly enjoyed assembling it for you.
