ITS deals with big challenges in industry – such as making medicines, running smart factories, supporting the journey to net zero and designing software that keeps things safe.

WHAT YOU LEARN ON THE JOB
• Coding: Build and test real software that ends up in factories, labs, power stations and daily life.
• Software testing: Break things( then fix them!). Spot what’ s wrong before it goes live, keep things reliable.
• Connecting tech: Link software with machines, sensors and systems – nobody works in isolation.
• Solving problems: Get under the skin of customers’ challenges and problems. Map, analyse and fix with your own solutions.
• Quality and security: Learn why rules matter. Keep everything compliant, safe and secure – it’ s more real world than school, college or university.
• Team skills: Nothing’ s solo. Share ideas, help others and build better technology together.

YOUR ROUTE IN
• Work experience: One week in, the team sees how ideas move from idea to finished project.
• Apprenticeship: Full-time paid learning after GCSEs or A Levels. Build your experience, get qualified and grow with genuine support.
• Graduate entry: Go to uni first, then dive into specialist graduate engineering roles on our established graduate scheme.
WHAT YOU NEED( AND WHAT YOU DON’ T)
• Got a problem-solving mindset? Like games, logic or finding glitches? You’ re halfway there.
• Basic stuff helps – maths, organisation, determination, spreadsheets, a taste of coding such as Python.
• Listen well, ask questions, explain clearly.
• Teamwork beats perfect scores. Show up, try, help your mates.
