FROM STEEL TO GREEN ENERGY
The Teesworks site, once home to the mighty Redcar steelworks, is now buzzing with world-first projects. They’ ll power homes and businesses for generations.
As far as you can SeAH – a huge factory building monopiles for offshore wind farms.
Nearby, Net Zero Teesside Power, backed by bp and Equinor, is building the world’ s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture. It’ ll produce enough electricity for more than a million homes while storing harmful emissions deep under the North Sea.
These projects are creating thousands of careers in engineering, science and technology – all right here.
