housands of people flocked to Darlington
over the early May Bank Holiday to enjoy a
feast of food, fun and music.
Highlights included free foodie
demonstrations from local venues including
Mercure Kings Head Hotel and Rockliffe Hall
alongside a gin masterclass with Quaker Gin
Distillery plus street food and produce from a
wide range of stalls.
Family fun was on the menu with face
painting, entertainer Tolf Rolfe, singing chefs
and waiters, and burger making workshops with
Junior Kitchen and Mulholland.
With music across the weekend from
Darlington Jazz Festival, it really was a three-
course banquet of food, fun and music.
The Darlington Food and Drink Festival has
become a firm favourite with locals and visitors,
setting the scene for a fun packed summer of
events for the town centre.
