Special Force WHY MANDALE PARK HAS ATTRACTED THE SAS WORDS: DAVE ALLAN P I CTURES: DO UG M O O DY 44 T he SAS have arrived at an industrial estate owned by Tees-based property specialists Mandale – but there’s no need for alarm unless you’re a business at risk of missing out on the high-quality warehouse units. The modern industrial units on Durham’s well-established Belmont Industrial Estate have seen a series of sign-ups from a diverse range of businesses. Among those to have leased space already are a distribution centre, pallet truck manufacturer and food distributor. Among the latest recruits are SAS Autoparts a member of the Parts Alliance, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of automotive components. And such is the flexibility of the units that the latest to move in is national charity Age UK, who have opened a 5,000 sq ft warehousing and retail unit. Other recent arrivals include Plumbing and Heating Supplies. Mandale property specialist Joe Darragh believes the diverse range of organisations moving onto the site are proof of the flexibility of the units. “These are incredibly high-quality units in the best possible location,” said Joe. “Companies who come and take a look are generally blown away with the offering. “We let seven units within the development’s first phase in no time at all. Now those within Phase Two are being quickly snapped up. “We weren’t expecting to do business with an organisation like Age UK but they’ve created
