Middlesbrough’s annual foodie celebration
returns this May, with a week of fantastic
offers designed to tickle all taste buds.
R
unning from Monday 7 to Sunday
May 13, Restaurant Week celebrates
Middlesbrough’s diverse restaurant scene,
where flavours from around the world are available
right on our doorstop.
With a variety of special menus, limited edition
dishes and fantastic prices, Restaurant Week is the
perfect opportunity to sample what the town has to
offer. Amongst the many choices available, diners
can enjoy finest ‘Frenglish’ at Bistrot Pierre or great
Greek at Great; parmos at Al Forno and The Oven
or sustainable seafood at Fellinis.
Sixteen restaurants are taking part in this year’s
event, including newcomers Turtle Bay as well as
firm favourites like The Curing House and Baker
Street Kitchen.
For the first time since it began, this year’s event
will also include a non-food offer from Lane 7 to
complete your night – a specially priced drink and
WATERSIDE BRASSERIE
BISTROT PIERRE
bowling package that’s perfect for pre- or post-meal
fun.
Middlesbrough’s restaurant scene has gone from
strength to strength over the past few years, with
the wealth of choices and quality of offers firmly
positioning it as the dining destination of the Tees
Valley.
Restaurant Week has been created to promote
Middlesbrough’s restaurant scene and celebrate local
talent in the hospitality industry, helping restaurants to
attract new custom and giving foodies the opportunity
to sample the best of what’s on offer for a fraction of the
regular price!
Though global flavours are represented, many of the
restaurants taking part in this year’s Restaurant Week
support local food growers and producers and are listed
on the Growing Middlesbrough directory.
Diners will be able to enjoy their meal with the
knowledge that they are supporting the local food
economy in more ways than one.
